Nathan A. Hamaker

Nathan was born, raised, and has spent most of his life in Shreveport, Louisiana. A CPA since 2009, he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Centenary College of Louisiana with a Minor in History followed by a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University.

Nathan earned the designation CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in 2017 & the title Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2020. 

Nathan is an Intuit Elite ProAdvisor and is certified as an Intuit Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor (since 2010) and an Intuit Advanced Online QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Nathan’s main focus is in business & individual income tax planning & preparation, retirement plan setup, implementation & design, representation before the Internal Revenue Service & Louisiana Department of Revenue, and QuickBooks consulting for small businesses. 

Nathan has over 17 years of practice in public accounting. Prior to founding Hamaker Tax & Consulting, LLC, Nathan was a partner in a local Shreveport firm for over ten years.

Nathan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).
